Class registration
Registration policiesPasses, cancellations, drop-ins, transfers, and placement
Class passes & missed classes
Class passes are tied to the selected four-week cycle. Missed or unused classes expire at the end of that cycle and do not roll over, convert to drop-ins, or carry forward as credit.
Late cancellations
Cancellations made after the cancellation deadline communicated for the class, as well as no-shows, are subject to a $22 late cancellation fee. Please contact us as early as possible if you cannot attend.
Drop-ins
Drop-ins must be purchased for a specific class and date, are subject to space and level approval, and cannot be transferred or rolled over. New students may drop into Intro only on the first class of a cycle and must register in advance.
New students & placement
Students who are new to salsa or Salsa On2 should begin with Intro to Salsa. Dancers with prior experience who want to enter above Intro should book a private lesson or placement evaluation before registering; SFSA may recommend a different level.
Pass transfers
Moving an active class pass to another student, level, or cycle requires SFSA approval and a $22 class pass transfer fee. Drop-in purchases cannot be transferred.
Enrollment & waitlists
A class spot is confirmed only after registration and payment are complete. Joining a waitlist does not guarantee enrollment; offers are time-limited and may depend on class capacity and role balance.
SFSA changes
Schedules, instructors, and locations may occasionally change. If SFSA cancels a class, we will provide a replacement class or appropriate credit; this does not apply to student absences.
Community expectations
Students are expected to follow instructor guidance, respect partner consent and boundaries, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment. SFSA may refuse or end participation when necessary for community safety.
